Personal Transformation to National Transformation

"A Brave, Frank, clean-hearted, courageous & Aspiring Youth is the only foundation on which the Future Nation can be built." quoted Swami Vivekananda. VIHE Hyderabad, under the leadership of Swami Bodhamayanandaji Mj is playing a key role  in building a resurgent India through molding the young minds of the Nation. A  congression of all youth from various parts of India are  given an opportunity to virtually interact with eminent personalities during these tough times. Webinars with the aim of building resurgent India are being conducted every Sunday with various themes. This time a webinar conducted on Sunday, 4th Oct 2020 was on the theme "Personal Transformation for building a Resurgent India" for which we had Sri. K. Radhakrishnan, I.P.S , Director General of Police(Retd), Chennai, TN. and Sri P.V.G Satish I.P.S, Commandant, 1st Indian reserve battalion, Delhi as the Guest speakers.Swami Bodhamayanandaji Mj, Director, VIHE had hosted this webinar.Under his able guidance, the youth across the nation are exposed to wide areas of opportunities listening to eminent scientists, police officers, Sportsmen,musicians and many more.

Session had begun with Swamiji's introduction of the theme followed by an opening song by our Volunteer Anirudh Sharma, a young musician. It was followed by recitation of electrifying words of Swami Vivekananda by students of VIHE Pariveeta, Neha, Neeraj which gave a boosting start for the webinar. Our VIHE Volunteer, Leela Mahesh invited IPS Sri Radhakrishnan to give his presentation. Sri Radhakrishnan shared his journey and the obstacles he faced and how he had overcome them. He narrated one of the turning points in his life was while serving in Coimbatore and told the audience that he could overcome it because of the strength he received from the message of Swami Vivekananda. He urged youth to follow Swami Vivekananda's footsteps to overcome any problem in life. He also said that to build a resurgent India , youth have to rewire their brains with strong, pure and positive thoughts.

He quoted the words of famous poet Shakespeare "Some are born great, Some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them" and related it with the real heroes of our nation. He recalled how Swami Vivekananda achieved many things at a very young age and expressed how Vivekananda works inspired many people including Gandhiji who stated in this book that "I have gone through all the works of Vivekananda thoroughly and after going through them love for my country became thousand fold." He questioned and made us think what kind of India was there when Swami Vivekananda was there and now. Then we were looted by British and now by the political leaders in the form of corruption. He clearly explained why Swami Vivekananda focused mainly on youth and empowered us to be in a position to influence people. Sir wished that everyone  of us to be in higher positions and advised us to mediate on our goals which was really inspiring and motivating.

Advancing into the webinar, Satish Sir, who was a VIHE student himself till 2016 shared his ideas and addressed the youth after Sri Radhakrishnan .He expressed his gratitude on the learning from the Mussoorie camp experience in the Ramakrishna math which gave exposure to many great people from all walks of life. He reinstated his association with Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Math and it guided his life. He even revealed that for his UPSC Ethics paper, he completely depended on "THE COMPLETE WORKS OF SWAMI VIVEKANANDA" for guidance. It was no surprise because such is the message of Swami Vivekananda whose one quote can transform millions ! He even described how concerned Swami Bodhamayanandaji is towards youth development and how he specially groomed him. He even narrated how he dealt with the suicides problem in Sikkim where he was posted. He suggested that, to achieve something we need to be happy at the very first step and then aspire further. He explained the importance of Satsang and said that one should have good association. He added a quote that "A person can be judged by the closest friend he has." He even labelled how he had overcome everything in his journey by clearing the civil services exam. Faith in Himself is one of the key messages of Swamiji which he took up and built his personality. He advised everyone to contribute to India and further included how every person can contribute irrespective of their jobs and roles.

These experiences really enthralled minds of the youth with fresh inspiration and ideas. Both the Guest Speakers took up questions from the participants. The insightful webinar concluded with a closing song on the life and incidents of Swami Vivekananda and calling all the youth to imbibe the great message to build a resurgent India.
