"The end and aim of all education & training are Character-building & Man-making." says Swami Vivekananda.
It is tough for us to understand the gigantic personality of Swami Vivekananda and the ocean of knowledge he left for posterity. The Director of VIHE, Swami Bodhamayananda ji, as we all know, has been making out time from his tight schedule on every Sunday to help us gain inestimable insights from Swami Vivekananda's teachings and life. In the 'Volunteer Satsangs" Every Sunday, we can draw a handful of learnings to grasp, cultivate, modulate, and so forth. We get the right education and training in Man-making. Why not we utilize this Opportunity, if not till now at least from now ?!
What's in the Satsang ?
It all started with "Prayer" and "Guided Meditation" Meditation is the key to tune our thoughts away from the outer world
Deep Knowledge on simple lessons one should inculcate in one's day to day life which makes a difference
Intense way of offering our Pranams at the lotus feet of Lord, Shri Ramakrishna. This was the lesson taught to Swami Veetaraganandaji by Revered Swami Shankaranandaji Mj, the 7th President of the Ramakrishna Order
SHRADDHA in every work. (Also a lesson taught by Swami Shankaranandaji to Pravarajika Shuddhaprana Mataji)
Shraddha in other words is a belief or conviction of a person in something says Swamiji.
SHRADDHA in every work, be it small or big, is equally important and has to be done with proper attention. Says Mataji, what she learned and practiced from her Rev. Guru
Learning on "The importance of 'Mindfulness" (A learning by another such disciple): "Wherever you stay, always carefully watch your surrounding areas" were the exact words by Rev. Swami Shankaranandaji.
Swamiji also read and elucidated to us a lecture delivered by Swami Vivekananda in Sri Lanka, titled Vedantism from the book 'Colombo to Almora' (Which is every Sunday's routine) by which we gain the boost and inspiration.
The entire Satsang has concluded with a prayer and a bhajan, taking humble refuge at the holy feet of Shri Ramakrishna.
Every Sunday is the beginning of the week, Who does not aim at an energetic week ahead? So, we need to make some time for Sunday's schedule for such "Valuable teachings of Swamiji", which brings a gradual transformation among all of us.
